Welcome to FoodieReceipes, where America’s favorite home cooking lives.
Our Story
FoodieReceipes began around a crowded family table: a bubbling casserole in the middle, a skillet of cornbread still warm from the oven, and three generations arguing (politely) about whose meatloaf recipe was best. That table is the heart of American cooking — generous, comforting and made to be shared.
We created FoodieReceipes to preserve those flavors and make them easy for everyone. Too many classic American recipes exist only as a stained index card in a grandmother’s kitchen drawer, or as a vague memory of “how mom used to make it.” We write them down properly: tested, measured, and explained step by step, so a brand-new cook gets the same result as the family pro.
What We Cook
- Easy American dinners for busy weeknights — one-pot meals, sheet-pan suppers and creamy casseroles.
- Southern classics — fried chicken, smothered chicken with gravy, cornbread, biscuits, candied sweet potatoes and slow-simmered greens and beans.
- Comfort food and casseroles — the hearty, cheesy, crowd-pleasing dishes America grew up on.
- Breakfast and brunch — pancakes, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, and make-ahead morning favorites.
- Desserts and sides — crisps, cobblers, pies, deviled eggs, baked beans and salads that complete the table.
How We Write Recipes
Every FoodieReceipes recipe includes exact quantities in cups and grams, oven temperatures in Fahrenheit and Celsius, numbered steps with realistic times, and the practical details — pan sizes, doneness cues, make-ahead and storage advice — that recipes so often leave out. We specialize in the substitutions real life demands: no buttermilk, no canned soup, no brown sugar? We show you how to carry on without a trip to the store.
Our Promise
No fake “secret ingredients,” no impossible techniques, no 40-ingredient shopping lists. Just honest American home cooking, written with love and tested for real kitchens.
Thank you for cooking with us. Now — who’s hungry?
